Good morning,

Today's clues are scattered around the UL campus. You will need to
travel to different parts of the Campus to solve them.

The first clue can be obtained from the ULSU reception.

Attached is a copy of yesterdays journal entries.

Jan 21st: Further investigations.

500mg sample size Constant throughout.
99% Argon to 5ATM - no result.
99% He to 5ATM - no results.
99% O2 to 5ATM - no results (suspicious of this).
Very sceptical about Nitrogen as inert.

Contrary to my premonitions Nitrogen caused our sample to glow as its
approached
1.8 ATM. Within ~10 seconds the piece stated glowing and melted through
the
container.

This fascinating result was completely unexpected. I decided to
investigate
further. With testing I discovered that our small sample was radiating
on a par
with a black body radiator at 5000K. This is unprecedented for such a
small
amount of input energy.

Jan 22nd: I start combining gasses. After extensive test it seems that
50% N2 - 50% O2 at 3ATM - causes glow.

N2 at 5ATM and above causes stuttering output. Steady energy release
observed
at lower pressures.

I can barely stay awake - been up for 54 hours.
